Rajasthan witnessed a poignant Police Commemoration Day ceremony, led by Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma. Honoring 191 police personnel, the event reflected commitment and sacrifice, with floral tributes and community service activities such as a blood donation and tree plantation drive marking the occasion.
The ceremony, held at the Rajasthan Police Academy in Jaipur, paid homage to officers lost between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024. During his address, DGP Sharma encouraged personnel to draw inspiration from the valor exemplified by police martyrs, including those who fell in Ladakh on October 21, 1959.
Senior police figures, including former DGPs and intelligence officials, joined in laying wreaths at the Police Martyrs' Memorial. The event highlighted the essential role of dedication in police service and saw wide participation from officers, trainees, and civilians.
