A man identified as Omkar was allegedly beaten to death with sticks after reportedly taunting and insulting Rizwan, a villager connected to his past elopement. The incident unfolded on Tuesday evening, and authorities have arrested the primary suspect.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi reported that Omkar, a 28-year-old from Saptyara village, had eloped with Rizwan's sister five years ago, leading to his imprisonment. Upon his release, Omkar often provoked Rizwan with derogatory remarks.
Tuesday's tragic incident occurred when Omkar ventured into the fields, where Rizwan allegedly fatally attacked him. A murder case has been registered based on a complaint from Omkar's mother, with Rizwan and three others named as suspects. Rizwan is currently under police questioning.
