He explained that he was reading a forwarded message while traveling on a train and accidentally set it as his status. The error was only realized when friends began contacting him about it.

The Palakkad District Police Chief has now requested an explanation from the officer to clarify the situation. The incident has drawn attention to the application of religious customs and legal adjudications in high-profile visits.
