Major Drug Racket Busted: Over 908 Kg of Ganja Seized

A significant drug smuggling operation has been disrupted with the seizure of over 908 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 2.7 crore, police reported on Thursday. Three individuals, including the truck driver, were apprehended in Hyderabad during the operation.
Authorities intercepted the lorry carrying the contraband at Bandlaguda on October 22. Police investigations revealed that the suspects were working under the direction of a primary transporter. They transported the ganja from Kalimela, Odisha, with plans for distribution in Maharashtra.
Law enforcement agencies are intensifying efforts to track down additional members of the drug syndicate, which is suspected of operating across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. The investigation aims to dismantle the entire supply chain, police added.
