A festive celebration took a tragic turn as a 24-year-old woman lost her life and her mother was severely injured following a stone-pelting incident in Jaint village. The dispute originated from a minor altercation involving children bursting firecrackers, police stated on Thursday.
The deceased's father, Tikendra Singh, lodged a complaint, citing an old enmity as the cause behind the attack orchestrated by Manohar and six accomplices. The violence erupted when Sadhna, the victim, along with her mother, approached the accused to address the issue.
Amidst the confrontation, stones were allegedly thrown with the intent to harm, leading to Sadhna's tragic death while en route to the hospital. Tikendra's wife remains in critical condition. Law enforcement officials have filed an FIR against the suspects, and a detailed probe is in progress.
