Key Conspirator Jasir Bilal's Arrest Tied to Red Fort Blast

Jasir Bilal, an alleged co-conspirator in the Red Fort car blast that resulted in 13 deaths, was produced in a Delhi court. Accused of modifying drones for terror attacks, he was arrested in Srinagar. The National Investigation Agency considers Bilal crucial in executing the attack alongside Umar un Nabi.

On Tuesday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) presented Jasir Bilal, identified as an "active co-conspirator" in the Red Fort car explosion, before a Delhi court. The blast tragically took 13 lives, as confirmed by officials on Monday.

Bilal, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag, was apprehended in Srinagar on charges of providing technical assistance for terror activities. The NIA alleges he was involved in modifying drones and attempting to create rockets with the intent to execute attacks, just before the bomb detonation.

The court appearance took place in front of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna, where the NIA intends to pursue his custody for further questioning. The agency reiterated Bilal's critical role in planning the terror attack in collaboration with known terrorist Umar un Nabi.
