The Indian Army has executed a comprehensive civil-military preparedness drill named 'Exercise Samanjasya' in Arunachal Pradesh, aimed at bolstering cooperation and response capabilities, according to a defence official on Tuesday.

This significant exercise was conducted in close collaboration with the civil administrations of Lohitpur in Namsai district and Roing in Lower Dibang Valley district. The initiative emphasized an integrated approach to security management, resource optimization, and joint operational readiness, as detailed by Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Mahendra Rawat.

The event gathered key representatives from the Indian Army's Spear Corps, police, paramilitary forces, civil administration, and other essential agencies for thorough discussions and practical coordination activities. These sessions were designed to enhance preparedness, streamline response mechanisms, and ensure the protection of critical infrastructure across the region, reaffirming the Indian Army's commitment to a collaborative planning strategy and a whole-of-government approach to managing future contingencies.
