Bihar Police Seize Heroin Worth Rs 6 Crore in Major Drug Bust
Police in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district seized heroin valued at Rs 6 crore in the international market. Two individuals, including a woman from West Champaran, were arrested near Bariya bus stand during a joint operation by the Bihar STF and Ahiyapur Police. The consignment was intended for Uttar Pradesh.

Bihar's Muzaffarpur district witnessed a significant drug bust as police seized heroin valued at Rs 6 crore on the international market. The operation, led by the Bihar Special Task Force and Ahiyapur Police, resulted in the arrest of two people, including a woman, who were caught near the Bariya bus stand.
The arrest followed a tip-off to the Muzaffarpur Police, alerting them of traffickers passing through the area with a consignment of narcotics. The suspects, traced back to West Champaran district, were found carrying one kilogram of heroin intended for Uttar Pradesh.
During the operation, police recovered a packet containing 1016 grams of heroin, along with two mobile phones. These devices are now under analysis to trace the drug network further. City SP (West) Kiran Kumar emphasized the continued efforts to dismantle trafficking rings in the region.
