Plans are advancing to move the state's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office as issues at the current location prompt action, according to a senior official.
On Tuesday, during his state visit, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti evaluated the Shipping Corporation of India building on Strand Road, a key part of the relocation strategy.
Accompanying him were the state's Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal and other officials. The Election Commission is reviewing the proposal favorably, citing the current office's limitations in space, infrastructure, and security.
