Rabri Devi Seeks Court Transfer for Fair Trial

Rabri Devi, former Bihar Chief Minister, has requested the transfer of CBI and ED cases against her, citing concerns over bias and unfair trials. Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi has made a formal request to move legal proceedings against her to a different court. She asserts that the current court, led by Special Judge Vishal Gogne, may not deliver fair and impartial justice.

Devi stands accused in four significant cases, such as the notorious land-for-jobs and IRCTC scam cases. In her plea, Devi has expressed a credible concern of bias, suggesting that the judge's conduct during ongoing proceedings favors the prosecution.

Submitted to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, her application highlights numerous instances indicating this bias, urging that her cases be transferred for the sake of justice. A decision on her request is expected shortly.
