NIA Arrests Key Conspirator in RSS Leader Murder Case
Shahul Hameed, the 55th accused in the murder of RSS leader K S Sreenivasan, was arrested by the NIA upon arrival from Oman. Accused of conspiracy and aiding the prime suspect, Hameed was remanded to custody. The murder, alleged to be a PFI-fueled conspiracy, had 71 accused persons.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended Shahul Hameed, a key figure in the conspiracy surrounding the murder of RSS leader K S Sreenivasan, as confirmed by sources.
Hameed, a resident of Palakkad and the 55th individual charged in this case, was detained upon his arrival at New Delhi airport from Oman. He was subsequently moved to Kochi, according to officials.
On Friday, Hameed appeared in the NIA court in Kochi and was ordered into judicial custody till December 1. The murder at Melmuri Junction, Palakkad, on April 16, 2022, was allegedly part of a larger plot involving communal tensions propagated by the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), involving 71 accused persons.
