Delhi Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the deaths of two pedestrians in West Delhi's Moti Nagar. The driver, identified as Sumit Kumar, allegedly struck the victims with a speeding vehicle and fled the scene.
The tragic accident occurred around 6:10 pm near the busy Jakhira Gol Chakkar, involving a Tata Tiago. Victims Munni Raj and Surajpal were severely injured and transported to a hospital, where both later succumbed to their injuries.
Following investigations, an FIR was filed, and Sumit's father, Sanjay Kumar, was implicated for allowing his son to drive without a valid license. Authorities continue to probe the incident, examining if excessive speed contributed to the fatal collision.
