Vivek Chaturvedi Takes Helm of CBIC

Vivek Chaturvedi, an IRS officer from the 1990 batch, has been appointed as the chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). He takes over from Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, who retired on November 28, 2025. Chaturvedi was previously a member of the CBIC Board.
