Elderly Targets: Gold Theft Unraveled

Karthik, noted for exploiting vulnerable individuals, had also duped a local woman named Selvi, persuading her to part with her gold chain under false pretenses. His elaborate scams did not end there as investigations tie him to earlier thefts in various localities, revealing a pattern.

The authorities uncovered and seized 24.5 gm of gold jewelry and arrested Karthik, presenting him in court on November 28. This arrest marks a significant break in ongoing investigations into similar crimes.
