Tragedy Strikes: Kannada Actor's Cousin Dies by Suicide Amid Harassment Allegations

In a tragic turn of events, authorities have registered a case of abetment to suicide following the death of Achala Harsha, the cousin of notable Kannada actor Ashika Ranganath. Harsha, a 22-year-old engineering graduate, died by suicide in Puttenahalli on November 22, according to police reports.

The family's complaint suggests a serious narrative: Harsha was romantically involved with Mayank Gowda, who allegedly betrayed her with another woman. Additionally, Harsha's father accuses Gowda of physical, mental, and sexual harassment under the guise of a commitment to marriage.

Senior police officials confirmed the case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with the abetment of suicide. Both Gowda and his mother are implicated, and further investigations are currently in progress.
