The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has denied anticipatory bail to folk singer Neha Singh Rathore regarding her alleged anti-religious and anti-national statements on social media.

Rathore's comments reportedly targeted key political figures including Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, in the context of the Pahalgam incident that resulted in the death of 26 tourists. Justice B R Singh highlighted Rathore's lack of cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

The government counsel argued that Rathore violated constitutional free speech boundaries, particularly due to the timing of her remarks amid tensions with Pakistan. The FIR filed in Lucknow underscores the gravity of her statements, which allegedly gained traction on social media in Pakistan.
