Disturbing Assault on Elderly Woman: Arrest Made in Shocking Case

A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping and assaulting an 85-year-old woman in Venjaramoodu. In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old man has been taken into custody for the alleged rape and assault of an 85-year-old woman. The police nabbed the man, identified as Agin, a lottery agent, under the Venjaramoodu Police station limits.

The accused reportedly lured the elderly woman into an abandoned building, where he committed the heinous crime before brutally assaulting her with a stick. Bystanders found the victim with severe head and facial injuries and rushed her to the hospital, where a detailed medical examination confirmed rape.

The arrest was made after the police received crucial testimony from the victim and witnesses in the area. Currently, Agin is under judicial custody, and his mental state is under scrutiny as investigations continue. The victim, after receiving medical treatment, has been discharged from the hospital.
