In a commendation-filled event marking the 63rd Foundation Day of the Uttar Pradesh Home Guards, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the indispensable role of Home Guard soldiers in state security. He underscored their discipline and sacrifice as pillars underpinning societal safety and acknowledged the recent honors bestowed upon them.

Adityanath lauded the Home Guards' evolution from a mere auxiliary force to a formidable contributor to law enforcement. He highlighted their crucial roles in various domains, from election duties to disaster management, stepping beyond their traditional roles to become integral in traffic control and public event security, including at the Kumbh Mela.

Addressing their noteworthy contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic, he recalled how they ensured the safe return of stranded workers. Adityanath reiterated the importance of honoring uniformed personnel, drawing inspiration from historical figures like Babasaheb Ambedkar and nurturing the spirit of national identity over individual attributes.
