Commemorating B R Ambedkar's 69th birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated the importance of Ambedkar's contributions to Indian society on Saturday. In a speech honoring Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, Adityanath highlighted his teachings and reminded citizens of his warning against those ungrateful to the nation.
Adityanath criticized the actions of those who disrespect national symbols and historical figures, including Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar. He emphasized safeguarding Ambedkar's legacy by announcing government plans to construct protective boundary walls around his statues to prevent vandalism.
Additionally, the Chief Minister announced initiatives to improve infrastructure, such as road connectivity for slums and tribal settlements, alongside guaranteeing minimum honorariums for frontline workers. These efforts align with the state's ongoing 'Zero Poverty Mission,' addressing the needs of SC, ST, and the Most Backward Classes comprehensively.
