The Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Force (JKSDRF) recognized four valiant civilians for their outstanding bravery in saving lives following the Pahalgam attack and a blast at Nowgam police station.

The commendation ceremony coincided with the 63rd annual Raising Day of Home Guards and Civil Defence. The honorees included Nazakat Shah, credited with rescuing a tourist family after the Pahalgam attack in April.

Wahid Jeelani Dar, Shabir Ahmad Wani, and Shabir Ahmad Bhat were also lauded for their exemplary conduct following the November blast, receiving certificates and cash rewards from JKSDRF officials.
