Alleged Fugitive Rape Suspect Stages Suicide to Evade Arrest

Ramlal, a rape suspect from Bhilwara district, allegedly staged his suicide in Ajmer to avoid arrest. Police discovered the hoax after finding a suicide note and other belongings at the scene. The suspect was later caught at Ajmer railway station and handed over to Bhilwara police for investigation.

Police authorities in Ajmer have reported that a man accused of rape allegedly faked his suicide in a bid to evade arrest. The accused, known as Ramlal, originally hails from the Bhilwara district.

Initial reports suggested that a youth had jumped off a bridge, but subsequent investigation deemed the claim to be false. Authorities recovered a suicide note, photocopies of an Aadhaar card, a passport-size photo, and a motorcycle at the site.

The police, acting on the discovered documents, identified Ramlal as a wanted individual in a rape case filed at the Jahazpur police station. The suspect was apprehended at Ajmer railway station before boarding a train and has been transferred to Bhilwara police for further probing.
