In a landmark decision by the District and Sessions Judge, Una, Rajinder Kumar, justice has been delivered in the murder case of Vipin Kumar, an ITBP jawan tragically killed over a land dispute. Four accused, including Jaswant Singh and his son Dilpreet Singh, were handed life sentences.
The gruesome incident occurred on April 1, 2021, when Vipin Kumar was unexpectedly gunned down while harvesting wheat. The confrontation escalated as Jaswant Singh, accompanied by his son and two others, claimed the land as theirs. In a moment of terror, Singh shot Vipin in the chest, resulting in his immediate death.
Prosecuted by Thakur Bhishma Chand, the case was pivotal, relying on testimonies from 30 witnesses to secure the convictions. As justice prevails, the community reflects on the grim reality of feuds turning fatal.
