Court Reserves Order on Anticipatory Bail for Rahul Mamkootathil Amid Harassment Allegations

The court has reserved its order on the anticipatory bail plea of expelled Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, accused of sexual harassment. The order will be announced on December 10. Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team is probing the accusations, with Mamkootathil remaining out of public view.

The legal proceedings against Rahul Mamkootathil, a former Congress MLA, took a significant turn as a court deferred its decision on his petition for anticipatory bail in a case involving allegations of sexual misconduct.

The court announced that the order would be disclosed on December 10, following a session presided over by Thiruvananthapuram Principal District and Sessions Judge Nazeera S. During the session, law enforcement submitted critical documentation in a confidential manner.

This case emerged after a woman sent an email to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee, accusing Mamkootathil of misconduct. The issue, subsequently escalated to a police case, is further complicated by a previous court ruling granting Mamkootathil temporary reprieve from arrest.
