The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Pune Police has made significant progress in investigating a contentious land deal connected to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's son, Parth Pawar. On Monday, officials announced the recovery of the original sale deed and a crucial power of attorney document from the arrested accused, Shital Tejwani.

A senior official from the EOW revealed that the discovery is linked to a deal involving Amadea Enterprises LLP and Tejwani, who was empowered with a power of attorney. The sale concerned 40 acres of 'mahar watan' land originally granted to 272 watandars, now worth an estimated Rs 1,800 crore but sold for Rs 300 crore.

Simultaneously, a court in Paud remanded sub-registrar Ravindra Taru to eight-day police custody for allegedly facilitating the sale of government-owned land. The investigation indicates a conspiracy involving a firm partner, Digvijay Patil, and Tejwani, further escalating the case's complexity.
