In a harrowing case from Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district, two men have been arrested on charges of abetting the suicide of an 18-year-old man. The suspects, identified as Pankaj Dhangar and Kailash Raigar, allegedly created a false Instagram profile of a woman to entrap and extort young Mohit Patidar.
Superintendent of Police, Ankit Jaiswal, confirmed that Dhangar and Raigar manipulated Patidar into engaging in intimate conversations via the fake profile before attempting to extort Rs 10 lakh from him. Dhangar posed as a police official, adding further pressure on the young man, who tragically took his own life.
The police investigation has revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior from the accused, who have been using similar tactics on other young men. As their trial proceeds, the authorities are working to uncover the full extent of their crimes.
