Gaurav and Saurav Luthra, the co-owners of the 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, have been detained in Thailand after a fatal fire at their club in Goa resulted in 25 deaths. This incident has led to an Interpol Blue Corner notice being issued for them.
The brothers had escaped to Phuket shortly after the tragic event on December 6. Authorities in Goa have charged them with crimes related to negligence and manslaughter, as they organized a fire show without necessary safety measures. Deportation processes are currently in motion to bring them back to India.
Following the news of their detention, images of the Luthras in handcuffs surfaced online. Meanwhile, co-owner Ajay Gupta was remanded to a week in police custody, and five other managers and staff members from the nightclub have also been arrested.
