In a decisive operation against drug-related offenses, authorities in Jammu have demolished eight illegal structures belonging to suspected drug peddlers. The coordinated effort, described as a major move against narcotics networks, was executed by the Jammu district administration and local police.
The demolition, which took place in Narwal Bala, Bahu Tehsil, followed a directive from district magistrate Rakesh Minhas, supported by Senior Superintendent of Police Joginder Singh. Despite ample warnings, those involved in the narcotics trade persisted in illegal activities, leading to the demolition action.
Separately, a drug peddler was apprehended with 6.64 grams of heroin in Kathua district. The arrest of Parvinder Singh occurred during a routine vehicle inspection, resulting in charges under the NDPS Act.
