Gujarat Family's Libya Kidnap Horror During Portugal Journey

A family hailing from Mehsana in Gujarat has been kidnapped in Libya while attempting to migrate to Portugal, officials reported on Saturday.
Kismatsinh Chavda, along with his wife Heenaben and their young daughter Devanshi, were captured by unidentified kidnappers as they journeyed through the North African nation. The Mehsana police confirmed that the incident occurred when the family was traveling under the assistance of a Portugal-based immigration agent.
The captors have made a ransom demand of Rs 2 crore to the family's relatives back in India. The local government is now working closely with state authorities and the Ministry of External Affairs to urgently address the situation.
