The young girl from Maval tehsil disappeared on Saturday, sparking an intense search operation. It ended in heartbreak when her body was discovered, leading to immediate investigations by police teams.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Zone 2, Balasaheb Kopnar, stated that a suspect was detained after being seen near the victim's home. He confessed to luring the child with chocolates and subsequently strangling her. Authorities registered a case at Shirgaon police station and are investigating further.
