Police Scandal: Sub-Inspector Implicated in Amroha Extortion Case

A sub-inspector from Simbhavali police station in Hapur district has been implicated in an extortion case in Amroha, as reported by officials on Tuesday.
The sub-inspector, named Nitin Kumar Verma, along with another suspect, Naveen Verma, is currently evading law enforcement. Four other gang members have been apprehended by the police.
The individuals arrested are Khalid (42) and Deepak (34), both having criminal records, Lakhan (45), and a woman, Kaushar (30). During the arrests, the police seized Rs 20,000 in cash and a mobile phone linked to the crime. The extortion involved Rs 1.25 lakh being illicitly obtained from Naim, a Sambhal district resident, through threats of false accusations.
