Record Infiltration Attempts at the India-Bangladesh Border in 2025

The government has intensified border security, with 79.08% of the India-Bangladesh frontier fenced, alongside efforts at other borders including Pakistan and Myanmar.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai outlined over 8,500 infiltration attempts across various borders since 2014, highlighting the India-Bangladesh border's critical nature due to the volume of incidents and arrests recorded.
