Record Infiltration Attempts at the India-Bangladesh Border in 2025

The India-Bangladesh border experienced a peak of 1,100 infiltration attempts and over 2,500 arrests from January to November 2025, as reported in the Lok Sabha. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai outlined over 8,500 infiltration attempts across various borders since 2014, highlighting the India-Bangladesh border's critical nature due to the volume of incidents and arrests recorded.
