A Danish national faced arrest in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, after authorities discovered three live cartridges in his luggage during a security check at Kheria Airport, local police disclosed on Tuesday.
The incident, which unfolded on December 14, involved the tourist who was scheduled to fly from Agra to Bengaluru. Airport security raised the alarm upon detecting the cartridges, prompting police involvement.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, City, Syed Ali Abbas, stated that the Danish traveler, accompanied by his son, had visited Agra for sightseeing. Although the son has been released following verification, the father remains in custody facing charges. The individual claimed possession of a valid arms license, blaming the oversight on forgetting the cartridges in his bag. The Embassy of Denmark has been updated regarding the situation.
