Protests Erupt Over Court Order in National Herald Case

The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee protested after a court quashed the Enforcement Directorate's charge sheet against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. Party leaders criticized the BJP for silencing the Opposition. The protest also opposed replacing a rural employment act, warning of increased unemployment.

On Wednesday, the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) orchestrated a protest in response to a court's dismissal of charges against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.

Gathering at Rajiv Bhawan, DPCC president Devendra Yadav accused the BJP government of attempting to quash Opposition voices and supported the court's ruling that cleared the Gandhis of wrongdoing.

The protest also addressed concerns over proposed changes to a rural employment guarantee law, suggesting that the modification could exacerbate unemployment and impose a financial burden on states.
