A woman's unrequited love proposal has led to legal repercussions after she was charged with obstructing a police inspector's duties and threatening self-harm. Police sources confirmed the charges on Wednesday.
According to the complaint, the inspector from Ramamurthy Nagar Station received multiple harassing calls and messages, beginning October 30, from an unknown woman. The woman claimed connections with high-profile political figures, including the Chief Minister, and sent photographs via WhatsApp to back her claims.
The inspector, whose attempts to guide the woman through official complaint channels were ignored, reported continuous disturbances, including inappropriate letters allegedly written in blood. On December 12, she threatened suicide at the police station, prompting formal charges. The investigation is ongoing, with previous similar behavior noted from the woman.
