Parliament's Winter Session Wrap: Disruptions and Achievements

In a significant address during the valedictory of the Winter session, Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan criticized the disturbances caused by Opposition members, which included slogan shouting and disrupting legislative processes. Calling the conduct 'unbecoming', he urged MPs to reflect on their actions.
Despite these disruptions, the session witnessed notable productivity with eight bills being passed and various discussions held, including those on electoral reforms and the 150th anniversary of the national song, Vande Mataram. The House sessions showed increased participation and productivity.
Radhakrishnan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of both Houses for their support. He highlighted the cooperation among members that enabled the completion of significant business and concluded with a call for maintaining decorum in future sessions to uphold the integrity of parliamentary proceedings.
