The court has taken a firm stand by ordering the immediate blocking and removal of a controversial video featuring AAP leader Atishi. The video purportedly shows Atishi making contentious remarks about the ninth Sikh Guru, Tegh Bahadur.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Harpreet Kaur emphasized that the video could lead to social disharmony and worsen communal tensions, risking peace and public order. In response, the Jalandhar police filed an application to block the URLs of the accused content.
The video, claimed to be 'doctored' with added subtitles, had sparked political turmoil, with BJP alleging that Atishi insulted Guru Tegh Bahadur. Punjab's Chief Minister contested these claims, stating false subtitles were added, aiming to target Atishi unjustly.
