A local court handed down a five-year sentence to a man for the crime of mobile phone snatching, a case that dates back to 2018, local authorities announced on Thursday.
The Additional Sessions Judge, Sunil Kumar Diwan, also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Santosh alias Madari, who hails from the Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred on January 21, 2018, near Huda City Metro Station, and following comprehensive evidence presented in court, the accused was convicted and sentenced.
