Escalating Tensions in Gaza: A Ceasefire in Turmoil
Two Israeli airstrikes in Deir al-Balah resulted in five fatalities, including a teenager, as reported by local health authorities. The fragile ceasefire has been violated, escalating the death toll and further deteriorating living conditions in Gaza. Both Israel and Hamas blame each other for the ceasefire breaches.

In a stark escalation of violence, two Israeli airstrikes in Deir al-Balah on Thursday claimed the lives of five individuals, among them a 16-year-old, according to local health sources. The Israeli military refrained from providing immediate comment to Reuters regarding this incident.
Uncertainty looms over what provoked these attacks, which occurred outside Israeli-controlled territories. Since a fragile ceasefire took effect in October, over 400 Palestinians and three Israeli soldiers have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.
Amidst tensions, the United Nations children's agency reported more than 100 children have died in Gaza since the ceasefire began, with allegations of drone and quadcopter assaults. Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas have pointed fingers over ceasefire violations, despite a U.S.-supported second phase announcement. The region remains on edge as political stalemates persist.
