The Allahabad High Court has reaffirmed its orders to the Uttar Pradesh government, insisting on the prohibition of manufacturing, using, and selling the harmful Chinese 'manjha'.

Chief Justice Arun Bhansali and Justice Kshitij Shailendra emphasized the government's obligation to enforce previous court rulings aimed at curbing the dangers posed by this kite string, especially during the kite-flying season coinciding with Makar Sankranti in various regions, including UP.

The court was addressing a petition by Himanshu Srivastava and others, which highlighted past directives, specifically the November 19, 2015 order, requiring the state to adopt comprehensive measures to ban the notorious 'manjha'.
