A suspect accused of damaging an idol at a temple veranda in Hyderabad has been apprehended, police announced on Friday.
Two cases were filed at Kamatipura police station concerning the damage to a banner and a Plaster of Paris (PoP) idol, which incited protests and an attack on police personnel.
Amid mild tension in the Puranapul area, police are investigating under the guidance of Commissioner V C Sajjanar, ensuring the sanctity of the temple remains intact.
