Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has proclaimed a rejuvenation of sports culture in India, attributing this shift to policies implemented by the Modi administration. Speaking at the Eastern Zone Inter-University Women's Basketball Tournament inauguration at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Adityanath celebrated these achievements.
According to the Chief Minister, the government, before 2014, often neglected sports, with many athletes forced to relocate due to substandard infrastructure. "It was not even considered a priority," he noted, emphasizing the transformation that has occurred over the last 11 years.
Now, the development of sports facilities and support across the nation showcases a substantial shift in government focus. This has been described as remarkable progress since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office, showing a strong commitment to enhancing the sports sector.
