Unveiling the Gold Mystery at Lord Ayyappa Temple

A scientific analysis of gold on artefacts from Lord Ayyappa temple conducted by VSSC has been submitted to a vigilance court. The investigation, ordered by Kerala High Court, aims to compare gold before and after restoration. Accusations involve significant figures like Unnikrishnan Potty.

A report detailing a scientific analysis of gold on copper claddings from the Lord Ayyappa temple has been presented to a vigilance court, sources revealed on Friday.

Conducted by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), the analysis is currently sealed and will be examined by a High Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) for further investigation.

This investigation was prompted by discrepancies observed in gold quality during restorations handled by the main suspect, Unnikrishnan Potty. Meanwhile, Potty seeks bail due to delays in chargesheet filing, although he faces charges related to gold loss on temple artefacts.
