In an effort to enhance the welfare of gig and construction workers, Delhi Labour Minister Kapil Mishra has urged officials to hasten the delivery of social security benefits to those in the unorganised sector.
Mishra emphasized the importance of aligning Delhi's Labour Code with the Centre's, aiming to optimize benefits for all workers.
The minister's directive follows a meeting reviewing the implementation of the Centre's Code on Social Security, 2020, which includes forming welfare boards to support unorganised sector workers.
