In a significant crackdown on illegal drug manufacturing, Madhya Pradesh police dismantled a mephedrone production unit in Ratlam district, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals and the detention of a 16-year-old boy. The operation uncovered contraband worth Rs 10 crore at the scene, authorities reported on Friday.

The raid, spearheaded by Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, targeted the residence of Dilawar Lala in Chikalana village, located approximately 50 kilometers from district headquarters. The operation was initiated following a precise tip-off, leading to the confiscation of 10.93 kilograms of MD, arms, and other illicit items.

Besides drugs, the authorities recovered a fake Army identity card, a police uniform, illegal firearms, ammunition, and exotic pets. A probe into the network's operations and further arrests are expected as the investigation progresses, Kumar stated.
