Tragic Electrocution Incident Highlights Safety Gaps in Electrical Work

A tragic incident unfolded in the Lar area as Mukhtar Sahni, a contractual lineman, lost his life due to electrocution. On Sunday, while working on a transformer, electricity was unexpectedly restored, causing a fatal accident.
Shahni's body remained suspended for three hours following the incident. Villagers had alerted local law enforcement, but the lack of immediate response from electricity department officials delayed the recovery process.
Eventually, Naib Tehsildar and other officials were able to retrieve the body, which was sent for post-mortem examination. This incident highlights the critical safety gaps and communication issues within the electricity department.
