Heroic Police Officers Foil Armed Robber's Escape in Outer North Delhi

Two Delhi police officers were injured while capturing a habitual criminal during a foiled robbery in the Shahbad Dairy area. The accused, armed with a knife and pistol, was intercepted after a brief chase. Despite injuries, officers restrained him, averting a potential threat to public safety.

In a daring encounter in outer north Delhi, two police personnel were left injured while capturing an armed criminal during an operation, officials revealed on Monday.

The accused, identified as Ravi alias Panchi, 38, threatened public safety with a knife and a loaded country-made pistol until officers interceded. The injured officers, Head Constable Kuldeep and Constable Neeraj, were promptly hospitalized and are now stable.

Recognized as a serial offender, Panchi faced capture on January 17 near Gupta Colony following a tip-off about an imminent robbery. Despite sustaining stab wounds, the officers successfully subdued the accused, ensuring he posed no further threat, DCP Hareshwar Swami confirmed.
