In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming Budget Session, Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah commenced pre-budget consultations on Tuesday. This initiative aims to align departmental priorities with the Union Territory's development goals, ensuring a focus on people-centric policies and inclusive growth.
During the review, Abdullah, who also oversees the finance ministry, engaged in detailed discussions with various departments, including Power Development, Housing and Urban Development, and Information Technology. The goal is to ensure efficient service delivery and balanced regional development.
The discussions will continue as the chief minister gears up to present the Budget for 2026–27 on February 6. This marks his second budget presentation, demonstrating a continued commitment to addressing public needs and fostering comprehensive regional progress.
