Delhi Court Acquits Man in Attempted Murder Case Due to Lack of Evidence
A Delhi court cleared a man accused of attempted murder, citing insufficient evidence from the prosecution. Despite claims of a stabbing in 2022, the judge found no solid proof against Armaan, leading to his acquittal. Eyewitnesses failed to confirm his involvement, and the knife was not identified convincingly.

In a recent ruling, a Delhi court acquitted a man accused of attempted murder, after the prosecution failed to establish a strong case against him. The decision, delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Kumar Rajat, underscored the lack of conclusive evidence against Armaan, the man on trial.
The case revolved around an incident from June 24, 2022, where Armaan allegedly attacked Riyaz with a knife during a brawl in northeast Delhi. However, the court highlighted the inability of the injured party and alleged witnesses to identify Armaan as the assailant.
The judge pointed out crucial lapses in the prosecution's argument, including no independent witness to the recovery of the weapon. This led to the dismissal of charges under Sections 307, 341, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, and Armaan's subsequent release.
