The Rajasthan CID has taken action against two British nationals for allegedly posting politically charged stickers in the town of Pushkar. The stickers, which read 'Free Palestine, Boycott Israel', were deemed a violation of their tourist visa conditions, prompting the CID to issue 'leave India' notices to the individuals.
Following reports on January 21, officials traced the stickers to the tourists, determining their actions were incompatible with visa restrictions barring political activities. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meena emphasized that such activities disrespected visa norms and contravened Indian laws.
Pushkar, a magnet for foreign visitors including Israelis, had the stickers removed following the CID's investigation. While no formal complaints came from tourists, police conducted thorough checks to prevent recurrence in areas frequented by foreigners.
