On Tuesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini commended the newly formed India-US trade agreement, describing it as a 'historic leap' in strengthening bilateral ties. His comments followed the announcement by US President Donald Trump, who confirmed the agreement after speaking with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The trade deal significantly reduces the reciprocal tariff on Indian goods from a total of 50 percent down to 18 percent. Chief Minister Saini took to social media to express his congratulations to both Modi and Trump, highlighting the partnership's contribution to 'inclusive growth and sustained prosperity'.
Saini emphasized that the agreement will further boost the 'Make In India' initiative and benefit US enterprises. He noted the potential for enhanced market access, strengthened trade, and job creation.
